Here’s a pattern I see constantly:
A founder makes a reactive decision — fires off an email, says yes to something they should have sat with, draws a line in
the wrong place.
Then spends the next two weeks managing the fallout.
Then beats themselves up for not thinking it through.
Then promises to slow down next time.
Then does it again.
The cycle isn’t a discipline problem. It’s a thinking environment problem.
When you don’t have a place to process things clearly, you process them in the moment — and the moment is always the
worst time.
